FAQ
What is a technical website audit and why do you need one?
It is an automated check of a website for technical issues — from indexation to slow loading speed — that prevent search engines from crawling and ranking pages correctly.
How is a technical audit different from rank tracking?
Rank tracking shows only where your site appears in search results for specific queries. A technical audit goes deeper and looks for reasons those rankings may be lower than they could be.
How can I check a website for SEO errors online?
Choose the “Website technical audit” tool on seo-checker.com.ua, enter a domain or upload a URL list or sitemap.xml, and start scanning. No software installation or code access is required.
Do I need access to the admin panel or website code?
No. Scanning works the same way a search engine does — based on publicly available pages, without logins, passwords, or hosting access.
How long does a technical audit take?
Timing depends on the number of pages: a small site is checked in a few minutes, while a large one with tens of thousands of pages takes longer, depending on the scan settings you choose.
Can I audit a site built on a JS framework (React, Vue)?
Yes. For such sites, enable JS rendering in the settings — then the crawler will see the page after scripts run.
How many pages can be scanned in one audit?
Up to 100,000 pages per run, depending on the limit you set in scan settings. That is enough even for large online stores and portals. More is possible on another, more cost-effective plan (on request).
What are points and how much does an audit cost?
Points are the service’s internal “currency”: you pay 1 point per page checked. We do not offer a monthly subscription, so you pay only for the volume of checks you actually need.
Is audit history saved and can results be compared?
Yes. Each new audit is compared with the previous one, and the service automatically shows how many new issues appeared and how many were fixed since the last check.
How do I export an audit report?
The finished report can be downloaded as XLSX or PDF, including a white-label PDF without branding — so you can easily share it with a client.
How often should I run a technical website audit?
Run one after every developer change to site markup, or any work that may affect loading speed, meta tags, or URL structure. If no such technical work is done, a scheduled check every 1–2 months is recommended. Ideally, set up scheduled audits so the site’s technical state is monitored automatically without your involvement.
